The Archangels

The Archangel, Michael

He is often said to carry a flaming sword and perfectly balanced scales which he uses to weigh souls.

It is said that there was once a great war in heaven where Satan rallied angels to rebel against the Abrahamic God. Michael led an army of angels against Satan and being stronger, defeated him. Now the two armies wait for the apocalypse where there will be a final war and Michael will slay Satan once and for all.

The Archangel, Gabriel

Gabriel played an important role in all the Abrahamic religions, as he was often sent to earth by the Abrahamic god to reveal knowledge or pass on God’s word to his prophets. It was Gabriel who told Mary about the Birth of Jesus, and it was Gabriel who recited the words of the Quran to Muhammad (S.A.W.).

Every time you pray, it is Gabriel who answers.

The Archangel, Azrael:

This is Azrael, the Angel of Death. He is described in Hebrew and Islamic lore and he is said to be “forever writing in a large book and forever erasing what he writes”. He writes a name when a human is born, and he erases a name when a human dies. Azrael was appointed to separate the soul from the body and carry it to the heavens and it is said that upon death, Azrael is the first angel you meet.
